MOSCOW, April 13 Supplies of Russian aluminum, nickel and copper to the US and UK last year amounted to $77.8 million, which is only 0.5% of Russia’s total exports of these metals, follows from an analysis of data from the UN Comtrade platform.
The US authorities yesterday introduced a ban on the import of aluminum, copper and nickel of Russian origin into the country. The US decision to ban the import of aluminum, copper and nickel of Russian origin will also limit their use on world exchanges, the US Treasury reported. Britain also joined the restrictions. 
Last year, the United States supplied $50.8 million worth of Russian aluminum and $26.5 million worth of nickel. There were no copper supplies. At the same time, last year Britain imported $432 thousand worth of aluminum, $53 thousand worth of copper, and $27 thousand worth of nickel.
At the same time, according to currently available data, Russia supplied at least $14.5 billion worth of these metals to international markets. Thus, the USA accounts for 0.5% of Russian exports, and Britain — 0.003%.
Other countries purchased $6.1 billion of Russian aluminum and $5.5 billion of copper, with the largest purchases of both metals coming from China, Turkey and Germany. Nickel from Russia last year was bought for 2.9 billion, and the leaders were Finland, China and Germany.
