MOSCOW, April 13 A government source denied information about the possible transfer of First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov to the Accounts Chamber.
“This information is not true,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
Earlier on Saturday, a source in parliament said that Belousov could be appointed to the post of head of the Accounts Chamber .
This position became vacant in November 2022 after the holder, Alexey Kudrin, became an advisor on corporate development at Yandex. At the same time, as President Vladimir Putin noted, the absence of the head does not interfere with the work of the department, and the personnel issue will be resolved when “the situation is ripe.”
Belousov was appointed First Deputy Prime Minister on January 21, 2020. Previously, he served as assistant to the president.
