MOSCOW, April 14, Andrey Mikhailov. Moscow football club » Lokomotiv missed out on victory in the derby with CSKA due to unsuccessful substitutions, said Yuri Nagornykh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the railway workers.
Lokomotiv on Saturday played a draw with CSKA (3:3) in the match of the 24th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). Until the 80th minute, the railway workers led with a score of 3:1, but in the last 10 minutes of the game they conceded two goals and missed out on the victory.
“For 75 minutes the team played the kind of football that fans expect from it. I want to thank all the guys who were on the field at that moment, the whole team. Then we had unsuccessful substitutions, which allowed us to completely remove the pressure and actually give away the center of the field. Such experiments cannot be carried out by an opponent like CSKA — they are a powerful, playing team. They created the opportunity for the opponent to develop attacks and put pressure on our goal. This resulted in two goals and the loss of two points that were so important for us,” Nagornykh said.
In the 75th minute of the game, with the score 3:1, Lokomotiv head coach Mikhail Galaktionov made two substitutions — instead of Sergei Pinyaev and Anton Miranchuk, Nair Tiknizyan and Artem Dzyuba, who had recently recovered from injuries, entered the field. In the 82nd minute of the game, with the score 3:2, the railway workers replaced Maxim Glushenkov and Artem Karpukas with Rifat Zhemaletdinov and Mario Mitai.
«I would like to say that work on mistakes will be done — we need to figure out what we have with standards, with the execution of corners at our goal. Many mistakes are made that end in goals. The team will work on this, conclusions will be drawn. I wanted I would like to thank the fans who actively supported the team in Cherkizovo. Once again I want to say thank you to the guys for the game that was shown, especially in the first 75 minutes, because this is the “Lokomotiv” that the fans want to see. who plays actively, fervently, at speed. There is something to work on — we will work on it,” added the chairman of the board of directors of Lokomotiv.
