MOSCOW, April 16 A teacher from Krasnodar sold sights for machine guns and rifles to the USA and Japan, she was sentenced to four years in prison, reported in Telegram- FTS channel.
“»Customs officers uncovered a scheme for smuggling military products organized by a teacher from Krasnodar. A forty-two-year-old Russian woman posted advertisements on the Internet for the sale of military goods and sold them to Japan and the United States,» the report says.
It is noted that the first parcel with an optical sight for heavy machine guns «Utes» and «Kord» was intercepted by operatives in December 2021. Then the woman indicated in the declaration that she was sending a souvenir. Three months later, a parcel containing a night sight for a sniper rifle was detained.
It is emphasized that during searches in her apartment, sights and parts of small arms were found, ready for shipment abroad, as well as computers with data on supply planning.
«The woman was detained. The court sentenced the Russian woman to four years' imprisonment in a general regime colony. The sentence came into force,» the Federal Customs Service added.
