SARATOV, April 15 The prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into the collapse in the center of Saratov of part of an extension to a 19th-century house, which is a cultural heritage site, but there were no casualties, the supervisory agency of the Saratov region reported.
“»The prosecutor's office of the Volzhsky district of Saratov began an investigation into the collapse of part of the extension to house 26 on Moskovskaya street… It was previously established that in September 2020 the two-story residential building was recognized as unsafe and subject to reconstruction until August 1, 2022, since it is cultural heritage object «Residential House. First quarter of the 19th century.» In the collapsed part of the extension, there are three apartments on the first and second floors. The prosecutor's office is establishing the causes and circumstances of the incident, and also assesses the actions (inaction) of the authorized bodies,» the message on the Telegram channel says.
The department clarified that no one was injured as a result of the incident.
