A car with SVO participants was found in the Voronezh region in a river at a depth of 8 meters
The head of the diving team, Sergei Penskoy, in an interview with RIA Voronezh, reported that a car with participants of the North Caucasus Military District, which sank in the Don River in the Voronezh region, was found upside down at a depth of eight meters.
According to him, the car was located at a distance of about 100 meters from the pontoon crossing downstream of the river.
“The divers tried hook the car with cables and pull it ashore, but this did not work, because due to the strong current, the rescue boat was torn from its anchor and carried downstream,” Penskoy noted.
He clarified that divers found the car on bottom of the Don River on April 13. The rescue operation was hampered by strong currents and zero visibility. As a result, the car was lifted only on April 16.
