MOSCOW, April 17 Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev in his Telegram channel suggested thinking about tightening the law on foreign agents following the example of the United States, which is irreconcilable with the enemies of their country; the number of foreign agents there, according to him, is in the thousands.
“We also need to change the law, taking as a basis some rules American. For example, establish criminal liability for foreign agents, like in the States. And gradually increase the number of foreign agents to the thousands, like ours. There are definitely worthy candidates! «Medvedev wrote. br>
He added that Americans are “consistent people” and “since 1938 have been irreconcilable with the enemies of their state.”
The Russian law on foreign agents allows their activities, but quite rightly demands from them transparency, Medvedev said.
«Unlike the Georgian, Kyrgyz or completely loyal Russian law, which allows the activities of foreign agents, but — quite rightly — requires transparency from them and prevents hidden illegal foreign interference in the internal affairs of the state, in its economy and political life,” Medvedev wrote.
