MOSCOW, April 17 Moscow in response to Canberra's actions imposed sanctions against 235 Australian citizens, including municipal deputies, they are barred from entering Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
«In response to politically motivated sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities by the Australian government, introduced as part of Russophobic campaign of the “collective West”, entry into our country on an indefinite basis is closed to an additional 235 Australians from among the deputies of municipal assemblies who are forming an anti-Russian agenda in this country,” says a message on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The department added, that “work on updating the Russian stop list will continue” due to the fact that “official Canberra does not intend to abandon its anti-Russian course and continues to introduce new sanctions measures.”
