18 people were killed and almost 80 injured due to a Russian rocket attack on Chernigov on April 17. This was reported by the head of the Chernigov regional administration, Vyacheslav Chaus.
The search and rescue operation in the city has been completed, the politician added. According to Chaus, a total of 78 people were injured, four of them were children. The acting mayor of Chernigov, Alexander Lomako, also writes about 78 casualties, while the Ukrainian rescue services report 77 wounded.
The missile attack on Chernigov occurred yesterday morning — local authorities reported that three explosions occurred in a densely populated area of the city. According to them, the missiles hit multi-story buildings and damaged nearby vehicles.
