SIMFEROPOL, April 18Ukrainian troops attacked the cities of Aleshki and Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson region: one person was wounded, a utility vehicle was destroyed, regional governor Vladimir Saldo said in your Telegram channel.
“One person was injured from shelling of the residential areas of Aleshek by Ukrainian terrorists. The man was taken to the hospital with shrapnel wounds,” wrote Saldo.
In addition, according to him, in Nova Kakhovka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked special equipment on the territory of the housing office.
“There were no casualties, but the utility vehicle was destroyed,” the governor emphasized and added, that enemy shelling in the Golopristansky district led to forest fires on an area of 1.8 hectares.
Kherson region is a region of Russia located in the lower reaches of the Dnieper, washed by the Azov and Black Seas. The region became a subject of the Russian Federation following a referendum in September 2022. The Ukrainian side does not recognize its legitimacy and continues to shell the territory. Currently, 75% of the Kherson region is under Russian control, and the part on the right bank of the Dnieper, including the city of Kherson, is held by Ukrainian troops.
