ST. PETERSBURG, April 19 An object similar to an improvised explosive device (IED) was discovered near the Strelna railway station in St. Petersburg as part of measures to strengthen anti-terrorism security of infrastructure facilities, a source in law enforcement agencies said.
“On the night of April 19, a device similar to an IED was discovered near the Strelna railway station of the Oktyabrskaya Railway,” the agency’s interlocutor said. According to him, an examination of the find is now underway, as well as “other necessary measures.”
I do not yet have an official comment from law enforcement regarding the discovery of this item.
