MOSCOW, April 18 Olympic champion in the Czech national team Jaromir Jagr scored the puck in a match of the Czech hockey Extraliga at the age of 52 years and 63 days, reports Denik Sport.
The owner of the Kladno club distinguished himself as part of his own club in the second match of the series against Vsetin for the right to play in the top division of the national championship next season. After the first period, Kladno leads with a score of 2:1. The score in the match up to four wins is also in favor of the Jagr club (1-0). Earlier this season, the Czech had four assists in 15 games.
Jagr became the oldest hockey player to play in professional leagues. He beat the achievement of Gordie Howe, who retired from the NHL when he was 52 years and 11 days old.
Jagr was selected fifth overall by Pittsburgh in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. He took part in 1,733 regular season games, in which he scored 1,921 points (766 goals and 1,155 assists). Cech ranks second on the list of top scorers in NHL history. Jagr is a five-time winner of the Art Ross Trophy (top scorer of the regular season), three-time winner of the Ted Lindsay Award (best player of the season according to the NHL union), as well as winner of the Hart Trophy (most valuable player of the regular season) and Bill Masterton Trophy (for perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey).
As a member of the Czech national team, Jagr became an Olympic champion at the 1998 Games in Nagano, won bronze at the 2006 Olympics in Turin, became a two-time world champion (2005, 2010) and a bronze medalist at world championships (1990, 2011).< br>
