TEHRAN, Apr 19 In the northwest Iran's air defense systems were triggered by the passage of an unknown object, but no explosions followed, IRNA reports.
«»Following (the information — ed.) that the sound of an explosion was heard in the west of Tabriz and in the Wadi-e Rahmat area, according to IRNA correspondents, it turned out that the Tabriz air defense opened fire, identifying a suspicious object,» — the agency said in a statement.
IRNA clarifies that there were no explosions in the city, and a calm situation remains in Tabriz.
Earlier, the Fars agency reported that three explosions were heard in the Isfahan province in central Iran; air defense forces could have been triggered by the passage of small unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).
