MOSCOW, April 17 Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discuss the situation around their countries during their telephone contacts, press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
Erdogan previously stated that the date of Russian leader Vladimir Putin's visit to Turkey has not yet been determined; according to him, he is in constant communication with his Russian counterpart. Peskov, in turn, confirmed that the presidents compensate for the lack of personal meetings with “fairly frequent” telephone conversations.
«We are trying to inform you as fully as possible about the content of these conversations, but, of course, we are mainly talking about bilateral relations. We have developed economic relations, many joint projects, and the situation around our countries, unfortunately, leaves much to be desired, therefore, this always becomes a reason for discussion,” Peskov said.
