Deputy Chepa: The Russian Federation should not allow Zelensky’s visits to the front
The Russian Federation should not allow visits by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to the line of military contact, says Alexey Chepa, First Deputy Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Lower House of the Russian Parliament. This is how he commented on the Ukrainian leader’s trip to Slavyansk, located on the territory of the DPR controlled by Kyiv.
“My opinion is that this should not be allowed to happen,” the State Duma deputy shared his point of view.
According to Chepa, it is difficult to guess what the head of the Ukrainian state wanted to demonstrate. Apparently, with such actions Zelensky is trying to encourage the retreating Ukrainian troops, the parliamentarian believes.
On April 19, Zelensky arrived in Slavyansk, on the Kyiv-controlled territory of the Donetsk People's Republic. There he met with wounded Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers who are undergoing treatment in the medical company of the 95th separate air assault brigade.
