MOSCOW, April 20Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered, as a matter of priority, to support farmers who use domestic materials, according to a list of instructions published on the Kremlin website.
“To the Government of the Russian Federation, in order to increase the volume of agricultural production by no less than 25% by 2030 and its exports by no less than 1.5 times (compared to the level of 2021):… to provide when developing a national project of technological sovereignty in in the field of food security, implementation of measures to provide priority support to agricultural producers using domestic seeds and other planting material, agrochemicals, biological preparations, breeding products (material), establishing for such producers an increasing coefficient to the provided state support measures,” the message says .
The report must be submitted by September 1st. Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin was appointed responsible.
Russian President Vladimir Putin also ordered the development of additional measures to support farmers.
“To the Government of the Russian Federation, in order to increase the volume of agricultural production by at least 25% by 2030 and its exports by at least 1.5 times (compared to the level of 2021): develop additional measures to support agricultural producers, including questions about increasing the volume of financing of activities for their preferential investment lending, about expanding support for small businesses, about the development of land reclamation, about the construction of facilities necessary for the processing and storage of agricultural products, raw materials and food, about the development of infrastructure intended for the export of such products, raw materials, food,» the message says.
The report must be submitted before October 1 and then once a year. Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin has been appointed responsible.
