Roskomnadzor blocked the website of the international non-governmental organization Reporters Without Borders (RSF). The Roskomsvoboda project, which tracks blockings, drew attention to this.
The reason for the blocking is not stated. According to Roskomsvoboda, access was limited by “mask”, that is, to all RSF domains and subdomains. They did this at the request of an “unspecified government agency” — most likely we are talking about the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Reporters Without Borders was founded in 1985. She works to protect freedom of speech and journalists who are imprisoned or persecuted for doing their work. Reporters Without Borders has consultative status with the UN, UNESCO, and the Council of Europe.
