The new SUV will be a step above the five-door with the C5 index. The new product has been declared a global model — most likely it will reach the Russian Federation.
The Omoda brand was created by Chery in 2022 specifically for export markets, with Russia becoming one of the first countries where it was launched. Today, the global line includes the compact crossover Omoda C5 (this is quite an original SUV, although in China it is sold under the Chery brand) and its electric version E5, sedans Omoda S5 and Omoda S5 GT (renamed Chery Arrizo 5 Plus and Arrizo 5 GT), and some -where in addition there will be a SUV with the index C9 (Exeed RX with a different emblem and nameplates). And now the expansion of the “worldwide” line has been announced: the Omoda C7 crossover is preparing to debut. By the way, in some markets this five-door will be presented without the letter “C” in the name, that is, simply as Omoda 7.
The “three” on the teaser has nothing to do with the name of the model — it’s just a countdown to the premiere of the Omoda C7 (that is, three days left)
The global office of the brand has so far distributed only a couple of teasers. At the same time, the Russian division of Omoda clarified that the C7 “belongs to a more prestigious class” compared to the Omoda C5, in addition, the SUV with the senior index is larger than the “ts-fifth”. The length of the latter is 4400 mm, the wheelbase is 2630 mm.
Judging by the pictures, the Omoda C7 will receive traditional headlights with integrated diode sections of daytime running lights, while the Omoda C5 has a double-decker headlight. But the new cross will have an unusual “nose”: with a “mosaic” radiator grille and many luminous elements on the sides. And the narrow rear lights will receive a “pulse” pattern. The interior has not yet been demonstrated.

There are no official details about the technology yet, it is only known that the SUV will have an electrified version. However, it is already clear that the Omoda C7 will share the hardware with other Chery models.
The first show of the new crossover will be held as part of the Beijing Motor Show, which opens on April 25. Most likely, Omoda C7 will subsequently reach Russia.
