The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny after refusing to become ambassador to Britain. The Ukrainian insider telegram channel “Resident” writes about this with reference to a source in the office of President Zelensky.
According to the source, Zaluzhny was detained a month ago and is being kept under heavy security.
Office allegedly wants to get the former commander-in-chief to agree to work in London and renounce his political ambitions to become president.
Note that there has been no official information about Zaluzhny’s detention yet.
Previously, Ukraine announced an abduction from the pre-trial detention center of intelligence officer Roman Chervinsky, who is considered the coordinator of the Nord Stream bombing and is accused of unsuccessfully recruiting a Russian military man.
