MOSCOW, April 22Promsvyazbank (PSB) will soon complete work on opening accounts for humanitarian payments to public sector employees and pensioners of the Gagauz Autonomous Republic of Moldova, bank head Pyotr Fradkov told reporters.
Earlier on Monday, the bank's press service reported that the first accounts for humanitarian payments have already been opened.
“The first accounts have been opened, without delay, we will complete this work in the near future. There is a complete understanding of the technology, everything is fine, so I think that here we are moving correctly,” Fradkov said.
He also explained that people who use the bank’s services will have full rights to manage the funds in the account that is opened. “This is primarily through our electronic platforms. A bank card will be linked to each account, at the request of the person, it can be in plastic, it can again be a digital bank card, that is, it will be possible to manage from the phone,” noted He.
The banker explained that the work of opening accounts for public sector employees and pensioners, those who primarily need additional support, is one of the areas of cooperation provided for by the PSB agreement with Gagauzia signed earlier in April.
In addition, according to him, the process of transfers between residents of Gagauzia and their relatives who live in Russia is important. “We, of course, provide for all this, too, on the one hand. On the other hand, for program participants and their relatives, we decided at the bank to hold a campaign of more preferential banking services in general. This is a more preferential deposit tariff, some more preferential certain conditions, up to and including the abolition of commissions on certain banking transactions,” noted the head of PSB.
When asked about plans to open branches, Fradkov indicated that the bank is interested in creating convenient conditions for people. “There is a process underway. We are becoming a bank for a certain number of people in general in the Republic of Moldova and in particular in Gagauzia, of course, we are interested in making this convenient for people, so we, of course, will always keep this in mind,” he said .
