KALININGRAD, April 22 Governor's press secretary Kaliningrad region Dmitry Lyskov, commenting on the possible appointment of the head of the region Anton Alikhanov to a new position in Moscow, said that there is no such information in the regional government.
Earlier, Vedomosti, citing interlocutors close to the presidential administration, reported that several regional heads may be promoted in the near future. Among them are the head of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, and the governor of the Kaliningrad region, Anton Alikhanov. Two more interlocutors reported on the possible transition of the governor of the Irkutsk region, Igor Kobzev, to federal power.
““The regional government does not have such information. We do not comment on the latest rumors about the personnel situation in the Kaliningrad region. We do not have information that the governor is changing his place of work,” said Lyskov.
