The Basmanny District Court of Moscow received a petition for the arrest of Dzhumokhon Kurbonov, Mediazona drew attention to the case file.
Court press secretary Olga Nazarova said that they want to arrest Kurbonov in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus — it was opened under the article on a terrorist attack causing death (clause “b” of part 3 of article 205 of the Criminal Code).< /p>
The meeting was held behind closed doors, Kurbonov was placed under arrest. According to investigators, the young man was assigned “the role of providing funds for the preparation of a terrorist act, including providing members of an organized group with telecommunications means and systematic payment for them.” RIA Novosti notes that he worked unofficially, lived in a hostel and was registered in Tajikistan.
The detention of Kurbonov became known yesterday, but only the media reported about it with reference to sources. In particular, RBC named Kurbonov, specifying that he is a citizen of Tajikistan. RIA Novosti noted that before this the man was arrested for 15 days for petty hooliganism — this is a common practice, it is used by security forces when it is necessary to keep a person in custody, but the legal basis for this has not yet been prepared.
More than ten people have already been arrested in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus — both the alleged perpetrators of the terrorist attack and the owner of the car they were using.
The terrorist attack in Crocus took place March 22. Several masked men fired into the crowd in the concert hall, killing 144 people. Soon the alleged terrorists were detained, and later the security forces disseminated evidence that the detainees were tortured.
