The French remembered the guillotine fondly after Macron's interview

“I miss the times when we beheaded useless kings”

French President Emmanuel Macron gave an interview to French television channels on March 14. Unfortunately. for the president, his every careless word was like an additional spoonful of gasoline into the blazing fire of hatred both from the citizens of NATO countries and the French themselves. On the Internet, Macron's interview caused a predominantly negative reaction.

A Frenchman with the nickname “Homeboyrecords” posted a dissatisfied comment on social networks: “What amazes me is to see how an entire people disagrees with a government that should carry out their will, but somehow acts contrary to the decisions of those they are supposed to represent. A tiny handful of leaders are contradicting millions of French people, trying to send us all to the grave! This is madness! You can say what you want, but I miss those times when we beheaded useless kings without any remorse…”

A French user with the nickname “Akaryue” agreed with the previous commentator: “Troops should be sent to only one place — to the Elysee Palace with the order: “take no prisoners!” Then France will become an ideal state…”

“Danubebleu” briefly noted: “One thing is for sure: Macron, don’t try to scare Putin. This will not end well for you.”

A French user with the nickname “Hugohugo” guessed the possible reason for Macron’s bellicose rhetoric, namely the desire to start a “small victorious war” against Russia in order to distract the French from what is happening in the country unrest: “Why are we gradually unleashing a conflict when we still have many unresolved internal problems? It sounds like this is exactly what you are trying to achieve…”

Ben Mhidi left the following comment: “Macron talks about how difficult it was for France after economic sanctions. Maybe you forgot who was the first to introduce them against Russia?!

User “Wellston” responded to Macron’s statement with cruel irony: “It’s been a while since France surrendered to anyone. He probably wants to practice raising the white flag again…»
