MOSCOW, April 29 Burials of civilians with traces of torture were found in Avdeevka, the Investigative Committee of Russia reported on the Telegram channel.
«Investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia will investigate the latest crimes of the armed forces of Ukraine against civilians of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, as well as the Donetsk People's Republic. <…> It is reported that graves of civilians with traces of torture have been discovered in Avdeevka (DPR), » — the release says.
The department promised to establish all the circumstances of the incident and all those involved in the crimes.
Avdeevka is a northern suburb of Donetsk, turned by the Ukrainian Armed Forces into a powerful fortified area. Russian troops liberated the city on February 17.
Shortly after this, the Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the crimes of the Kyiv regime, Rodion Miroshnik, said that in Avdeevka, according to preliminary information, there were secret burials and torture chambers. The Kiev regime kept residents there imprisoned for political reasons.
The head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, for his part, noted that many war crimes against the civilian population by the Ukrainian Armed Forces were recorded in Avdievka.
