NEW YORK, April 27 Convicted American film producer Harvey Weinstein was hospitalized in the hospital ward of Bellevue Prison in New York, his lawyer Arthur Aidala said. the lawyer's words are quoted by the Associated Press.
“»They checked him and sent him to Bellevue, <…> he has a lot of problems. He's going through all kinds of tests. Health-wise, he's a bit of a train wreck,» he said.

This week, a New York State appeals court concluded that there were gross irregularities in the Weinstein trial. In particular, the trial court accepted irrelevant testimony from women who were not plaintiffs and also accused the producer of harassment.
A New York court sentenced Harvey Weinstein to 23 years in prison on charges of rape and forced oral sex in February 2020. In the same month of 2023, a court in Los Angeles sentenced him to an additional 16 years in prison on charges of rape.
