The chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma, Oleg Lavrichev, was detained in the self-proclaimed DPR. This was reported by sources from “In the City of N” and “Kommersant”.
There is no official confirmation of this information yet. The last post in the deputy’s Telegram channel was published on the evening of April 27. In it, Lavrichev wrote that he came to Donetsk to meet a humanitarian convoy from Nizhny Novgorod.
According to Kommersant's interlocutors, the chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma is accused of misappropriation or embezzlement committed by an organized group on an especially large scale (part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code).
Oleg Lavrichev is a member of the United Russia party. Shortly before his trip to Donbass, he received the Ministry of Defense medal “For Help and Mercy.”
