MOSCOW, May 1. Defenders Bogdan Kiselevich and Egor Rykov, as well as forwards Ivan Telegin, Ryan Spooner and Damir Zhafyarov left Omsk Avangard due to the expiration of their contracts, according to the hockey club’s Telegram channel.
“The club thanks the players for their professional work and wishes them good luck in their future careers,” the statement says.
Kiselevich moved to Avangard in 2022. Last season he played 60 regular season games and scored 8 points (0 goals and 8 assists). Telegin has been playing for Avangard since the beginning of the 2021/22 season. He has 7 points (1+6) in 26 meetings in the last regular season. Both hockey players are winners of the Gagarin Cup as part of CSKA Moscow and Olympic champions in 2018.
Vanguard signed Rykov in December 2023. He played five matches for the team and was not effective. Spooner moved to Avangard in August 2023. Last season, the Canadian scored 61 points (23+38) in 65 games. Zhafyarov scored 15 points (4+11) in 25 games for the Omsk club after moving from Ak Bars Kazan in December.
