CHELYABINSK, May 1. The number of flooded residential buildings in the Kurgan region as of May 1 decreased to 708, more than 6.7 thousand country houses, 6 low-water bridges and 11 sections of roads, the press center of the Russian State Emergency Situations Directorate for the region reported.
As reported, as of April 30, 825 residential buildings, 6,773 country houses, 6 low-water bridges and 11 sections of roads remain flooded in seven municipalities in 24 settlements.
«As of May 1, 708 residential and 6,773 country houses, 6 low-water bridges and 11 sections of roads remain flooded in 7 municipalities in 16 settlements,» the report says.
Over the past 24 hours in 4 municipalities (Pritobolny, Ketovsky, Belozersky and Kurgan) in 16 settlements, 121 residential buildings and 200 household plots were freed from water, the report notes.
A regional emergency has been introduced in the region since April 8.
