MAKHACHKALA, May 2. Archaeologists have previously established that the age of human remains that were found in the Novolaksky region of Dagestan during the construction of a highway is about 2 thousand years, said the head of the village of Novomekhelta Kamal Delekov.
Earlier, the administration of the Novolaksky district of Dagestan reported that during the construction of a road bypassing the city of Khasavyurt, the remains of at least two people were found.
“»Archaeologists are working on the site. Two skeletons have been found in this area so far; they are tentatively 2 thousand years old. But the mounds, as they say, may be over 50 years old,» Delekov said.
The press service of the Uprdor «Caucasus» reported that archaeological excavations are currently underway at the Khasavyurt bypass under construction.
