Russian troops fired adjustable aerial bombs at the village of Zolochev in the Kharkov region of Ukraine, said the head of the regional military administration Oleg Sinegubov.
According to him, two people died — a 64-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman. They were in the car in the area where the bomb fell. The Kharkov prosecutor's office clarifies that the dead are father and daughter.
According to Ukrainian authorities, at least three bombs hit the central square of the village. The head of the Kharkov national police, Vladimir Timoshko, said that at that time there were “a very large number of people” in the square.
Six people were injured, including an 11-year-old boy. Administrative premises, a bank building, and more than 20 cars were damaged, and a private house was destroyed, Sinegubov said.
The Russian army also attacked Kharkov itself, Ukrainian authorities report. According to Timoshko, 14 private houses in the city were damaged as a result of the shelling. In addition, three aerial bombs fell between the villages of Liptsy and Veseloye, Sinegubov added. There were no casualties.
