DONETSK, May 1. Ukrainian troops dropped an explosive object from an unmanned aerial vehicle on Gorlovka at 16.10 Moscow time, reported the DPR representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to war crimes of Ukraine (JCCC).
«Attack by strike UAVs from the Ukrainian Armed Forces (Armed Forces of Ukraine — ed.): 16.10 — the settlement of Gorlovka (Nikitovsky district): dropping an explosive object from a UAV,» the representative office said in a message on the Telegram channel.
In addition, from 11.20 to 15.00, the Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled the Kirov and Petrovsky districts of Donetsk and Gorlovka, firing a total of 11 NATO shells of 155 mm caliber at the cities.
Gorlovka is located 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, the city is home to the Stirol chemical concern and coal mining enterprises. This is one of the largest populated areas of the DPR; before the start of the conflict in Donbass, the population of Gorlovka numbered more than 250 thousand people.
