The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations considered the existing penalties under administrative articles for violation of fire safety rules to be insufficiently strict. Therefore, the department has developed a document that tightens responsibility for them, writes Kommersant.
For example, it is proposed to increase the fine for uninsured gas stations and introduce liability for errors in the design of automatic fire extinguishing systems.
“The existing amounts of administrative fines require revision upward,” says the explanatory note to the bill, which is published on the Internet portal of official legal acts.
According to the bill, fines for violations will be increased fire safety rules in forests, in transport, failure to comply with the rules for eliminating and preventing emergencies and civil defense.
After a major fire at a gas station in Makhachkala, which claimed the lives of 37 people, it is proposed to tighten the responsibility for working at hazardous facilities.
When the bill is implemented, the Russian budget will receive an additional 900 million rubles.
