
IRKUTSK, May 7. In the city of Vikhorevka, Irkutsk region, 14 houses, in which more than 50 people lived, burned down during a fire, reports the mayor of the Bratsk district Alexander Dubrovin on the Telegram channel.
On Monday in Irkutsk region due to fires in the gardens of the Bratsk district and the city of Vikhorevka, a state of emergency was introduced. According to the region's State Emergency Service, on that day there were 29 fires in the municipality, of which four were large and 7 were landscape fires. Two people died in the fires in the SNT «Aluminshchik» and «Lokomotiv», and a woman was injured in the SNT «Ubskiye Dachi», she is in the hospital. The causes of fires are being determined and material damage is being assessed.
«According to the latest data, 14 residential premises burned down in the residential sector of the city of Vikhorevka. These are 7 houses, two of which are two-apartment and one three-apartment. Three houses were partially damaged by the fire. In addition, 17 non-residential buildings on personal plots were damaged or completely burned down “These are garages, bathhouses, sheds,” Dubrovin wrote.
He noted that according to the lists, 51 people lived in the burnt houses. Specialists from the Vikhorevsk administration, colleagues from the Bratsk district administration, and social protection specialists are working with the affected families. A temporary accommodation and collection point for humanitarian aid has been opened in the city.
