The 1st Western District Military Court announced the verdict of two teenagers in the case of setting fire to a relay cabinet at the Lakhta railway station in St. Petersburg, reports the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office.
One defendant was sentenced to two years in prison in a correctional colony, the second — four years. According to Fontanka, the teenagers are 15 years old.
In September 2023, the investigation believes, young people “entered into a criminal conspiracy with a supporter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” prepared a Molotov cocktail and committed arson. Initially, according to the security forces, they wanted to set fire to the locomotive, but did not find it at the station, and threw the bottle into the relay cabinet. The teenagers filmed what was happening “as a report on the completed task.” They were found guilty of committing a terrorist attack (clause “a” of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code).
Probably one of the convicts is schoolboy Yegor Lauskis from St. Petersburg. In February, Sota wrote that he was accused of setting fire to a relay cabinet “on instructions from the Ukrainians.” The teenager was added to the list of terrorists and extremists Rosfinmonitoring February 12. At the same time, another St. Petersburg resident, Artemy Doronin, was added to the list. Both are now 15 years old.
The wardrobe is on fire. More than 65 people have already been detained in cases of sabotage on railways in Russia, every third is a minor.
