And in the spring of this year, the model was officially announced — it was given the name Shark. Now the date for the world premiere has been announced: the truck will be fully revealed on May 14, and the presentation will be held in Mexico. By the way, on the Internet you can already find pictures of the product model without a patch of camouflage. However, the appearance is clearly visible on the numerous teasers available.

BYD Shark received a brutal look in the style of Ford F-series pickups. So, the “Chinese” has similar vertical headlight blocks, in addition, it got a massive diode plate that acts as running lights: a similar element is found in the electric Ford F-150 Lighting. There is also a luminous strip on the stern. Most likely, the Shark has a frame design, although BYD has not announced this yet.
The company itself has not yet demonstrated the interior, but the ubiquitous spies have already managed to look into the interior. Inside there are separate screens for the instrument panel and multimedia system, the side air deflectors are made vertical, and the rectangular central ones are located directly on the impressive tunnel.

Recall that BYD refused to produce cars only with internal combustion engines — all of its modern models are electrified in one way or another. So the pickup was announced as a rechargeable hybrid. The installation hasn't been announced yet. According to unofficial data, it will include a gasoline turbo engine and a pair of electric motors. At the same time, Chinese specialized media are also predicting a fully electric version of the truck.
