MOSCOW, May 8. The Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra will perform for the first time in Harbin, the capital of the northeastern Chinese province of Heilongjiang, reports the Russian Export Center (part of VEB.RF). masterpieces of world classics. The Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra is a unique musical group and the largest youth project in the field of orchestral culture. It was created on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation in 2018. For the first time in Harbin, the orchestra will present a rich musical program, including fragments of works by P.I. Tchaikovsky, I.F. Stravinsky, S.S. Prokofieva, N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov and D.D. Shostakovich.
The orchestra will also perform “Ode to the Yellow River” by Chinese composer Xian Xinghai.
The soloists will be outstanding musicians, laureates of international competitions Sergei Davydchenko (piano; winner of the First Prize and Gold Medal of the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition (2023)) and Elena Tarosyan (violin). The festival-fair “Made in Russia” will be held in Harbin from May 17 to 21 at the site of the VIII Russian-Chinese EXPO. Local residents and the business community will be able to get acquainted with the diverse products of companies from all over Russia, as well as Russian traditions and culture. The concert will be held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture as part of the Year of Cross Cultural Exchanges between Russia and China.
