A criminal case was opened against a 17-year-old resident of Sosnovy Bor in the Leningrad region, who called Daria Trepova, convicted in the terrorist attack case, a hero. This was reported by Fontanka and 78.RU.
The minor is suspected of justifying terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, on the evening of April 3, 2023, in one of the public pages about St. Petersburg, he left an approving comment about Trepova. According to information from 78.RU, in the publication he wrote “Glory to the hero — Narodnaya Volya member Daria Trepova.”
According to Fontanka, the suspect was a first-year medical college student — he had previously given a presentation at a scientific and practical conference about medicinal plants and took part in environmental events as a volunteer.
The name of the person involved in the case is unknown; as a preventive measure, he was given a written undertaking not to leave the place. As the publication clarified, the message for which a criminal case was opened was published under the profile of a man from Yevpatoria.
We are probably talking about the user “Boris Mitskevich” on VKontakte. On April 3, 2023, three comments were posted from the page of this account under the post about Trepova’s arrest in the St. Petersburg Live public page — the content of one of them completely coincides with the text given in the news of the publication 78.RU.
In two other comments, user Mitskevich wrote that the explosion was “too easy a death for the bastard Tatarsky,” and joked that security forces should have found a portrait of Bandera at Trepova’s house.
In January 2024, a military court sentenced Trepova to 27 years in a general regime colony and a fine of 600 thousand rubles in the case of the murder of Z-blogger Vladlen Tatarsky. The blogger died due to the explosion of a figurine that Trepova gave him during a meeting with subscribers. At court hearings, the girl said that she did not know about the explosives — she believed that a wiretapping device was hidden in the gift.
