MOSCOW, May 8. Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leader of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev talked “on their feet” after a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in an expanded composition, the correspondent reports.
Earlier, a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council was held in the Kremlin in an expanded format, the leaders of Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan were joined by the presidents of Uzbekistan and Cuba.
The EAEU is an international integration economic association, operating since January 1, 2015. Its participants are Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The Union is one of the largest economic associations with the free movement of goods, services, capital and labor. The meeting of the EAEU leaders is timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the signing of the treaty establishing the union.
