Passengers of a bus that fell into a river in St. Petersburg will receive insurance payments

ST. PETERSBURG, May 10.All passengers of the bus that fell into the Moika River from the Potseluev Bridge on Friday will receive insurance payments, said Roman Yurenev, Deputy General Director for Transportation of the Taxi company.
“All passengers are insured and will receive insurance payments in accordance with the degree of damage to health,” said Yurenev, quoted by the press service of the administration of the governor of St. Petersburg.
He added that to establish the causes of the accident, recordings from external surveillance cameras have already been taken, and recordings from a video camera from the driver’s cabin will also be studied.

«The investigation is receiving all the necessary assistance. Vouchers with work schedules and other documents have been transferred to the Investigative Committee,» Yurenev noted.

Earlier, the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported that the bus fell from a bridge into the Moika River in St. Petersburg. According to preliminary data, there were about 20 people inside the vehicle at the time of the accident. City officials later reported 15 passengers and a driver. The press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that rescuers lifted nine people from the sunken bus. Three people died, two were in serious condition, four were in a state of clinical death. Later, the Russian Investigative Committee reported that the number of deaths in the accident had increased to seven people.
