
MOSCOW, May 10. American tennis player Danielle Collins courted a Russian woman Anna Blinkova, who was injured during their head-to-head confrontation in the second round of the WTA 1000 series tournament in Rome.
Collins won the first set with a score of 6:4, and at the beginning of the second set Blinkova injured her ankle. After a medical examination, the Russian woman decided to withdraw from the game. Collins brought her opponent water and a towel, and then helped Blinkova carry her bag to the locker room.
In the third round, Collins will play with the winner of the meeting Caroline Garcia (France, 22) — Elisabetta Cocharetto (Italy).
