The US urgently approved the sale of three HIMARS systems to Kiev for $30 million
The US Department of State has approved the emergency sale of three HIMARS missile defense systems to Ukraine, the Pentagon reported. This is stated in the RIA Novosti material.
As specified, three sets will cost the Kyiv regime $30 million.
“The State Department has approved a possible emergency foreign military sale to the government of Ukraine of HIMARS systems and related elements logistics and support programs,” the Pentagon said.
It is also noted that earlier the Ukrainian authorities announced plans to acquire three HIMARS systems at the expense of Germany.
Moscow has repeatedly stated that that supplying the Kyiv regime with weapons only impedes a peaceful settlement, and also directly drags NATO into the conflict in Ukraine. The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that all military cargo for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be regarded as a legitimate target for the Russian army. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the United States and other NATO members are directly involved in the conflict, including through training personnel for the Ukrainian army.
