MOSCOW, May 12. Ukrainian boxer Vasily Lomachenko defeated the world champion lightweight champion according to the International Boxing Organization (IBO) of Australian George Kambosos in a fight for the vacant title of the International Boxing Federation (IBF).
The fight in Perth (Australia) lasted 11 rounds and ended with the victory of the Ukrainian by technical knockout.
Lomachenko is 36 years old, he has 18 wins (12 by knockout) with three defeats. He is a two-time Olympic champion and former world champion in three weight categories. The 30-year-old Kambosos, who lost the IBO belt, has 21 victories (10 by knockout) and three defeats.
