The head of the regional military administration of the Kharkov region, Oleg Sinegubov, said that over the past 24 hours the authorities evacuated 1,775 residents of the region.

According to Sinegubov, 1,048 people were taken from the Chuguevsky district, 440 from the Kharkovsky district, 12 from the Bogodukhovsky district. Another 275 people were evacuated by volunteers. Fighting is currently taking place on the territory of the Kharkov region.

This afternoon, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the capture of the settlements of Borisovka, Ogurtsovo, Pletenevka, Pylnaya and Streleche in the Kharkov region. According to the ministry, the seizure of territories was carried out by the Russian group of troops “North”.

Sinegubov claims that heavy fighting continues in the settlements mentioned by the Ministry of Defense. According to him, the situation in the north and northeast of the region is “fully controlled.” “There is no threat from a ground operation for Kharkov,” added the head of the OVA.

Previously, information about battles in the border villages of the Kharkov region was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — according to its data, these settlements “are actually in the “gray zone”.” As Important Stories noted, on the DeepState OSINT project map, the area of “gray zones” in the north of the Kharkov region has increased.

The Russian military launched a new offensive attempt in the Kharkov region on May 10. As Vladimir Zelensky reported, Ukraine has prepared “everything necessary to defend its positions.” “Everything depends on the tenacity of our warriors,” the president wrote.
