MOSCOW, May 11.< /strong>The most powerful flares on the Sun, which caused a strong geomagnetic storm, did not affect the operation of the International Space Station; correction of the station’s orbit is not required, the Roscosmos press service told reporters on Saturday.
““The most powerful solar flares, which caused a strong geomagnetic storm on Earth, did not affect the operation of the ISS and correction of the station’s orbit is not required,” the message says.
On Earth, after several powerful emissions of solar matter, a magnetic storm began and is still ongoing. On May 11, it achieved the highest score of G5, which has not happened since 2005.
