MOSCOW, May 14. Residents of villages in Kharkovskaya regions refuse to leave their homes, the authorities are providing them with assistance, said the head of the regional administration, Vitaly Ganchev.
The head of the Volchansk city administration in the Kharkov region, Tamaz Gambarashvili, announced on May 10 the beginning of the evacuation of residents of Volchansk and neighboring settlements.
“We have information that some local residents of some villages still refused to leave their homes. Our administration is already receiving certain requests. We, of course, are already working with them,” Ganchev said. He previously reported that the Russian military controls the western and northern parts of Volchansk, a city in the Kharkov region on the border with Russia.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation previously reported that Russian military personnel of the North group of troops advanced into the depths of the enemy’s defense within 24 hours and occupied Gatishche, Krasnoye, Morokhovets and Oleynikovo in the Kharkov region. On Saturday, the department informed that in this area the Russian Armed Forces occupied Borisovka, Ogurtsovo, Pletenevka, Pylnaya and Strelechya.
