BUENOS AIRES, May 14. A man who threw a bottle at Argentine President Javier Miley was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison, the Infobae portal reported.
““The man who threw a bottle at Miley on Inauguration Day was sentenced to three and a half years in prison,” the media notes.
Gaston Mercansini attempted to attack the president on December 10 as he drove down the street in a convertible towards the presidential palace after the inauguration ceremony in parliament. The bottle did not hit the president, but hit one of the guards who was walking next to the car.
The portal notes that the man received a year and a half in prison directly for the incident with the bottle, but charges of aggressive actions against his ex-wife were added to this crime.
