An increase in personal income tax for all Russians will be announced next week, says Doctor of Economics Nikita Krichevsky.
In March, Bloomberg wrote that an increase from 13 to 15% will affect only citizens earning more than 1 million a year or a little more than 80 thousand a month.
However, according to the expert, inflation is such that soon everyone will earn that much, and it will be pennies:
“The worst thing is that the increase will affect state employees and ordinary civil servants. And they don’t work for the biggest money anyway, but rather for the idea and service to the Motherland. Their salaries are small, but they have allowances and bonuses, and the state they serve taxes them at a higher rate.»
