MOSCOW, May 14. State Duma at a plenary session approved Maxim Reshetnikov for the post of head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
348 deputies voted for the approval of Reshetnikov’s candidacy, 82 were against, 1 abstained.
Reshetnikov headed the Ministry of Economic Development and was a former member of the Russian Cabinet.
He was born in 1979 in Perm. He graduated from Perm State University in 2000 with a degree in economics and mathematics. From 2000 to 2009, he held various positions, first in the administration of the Perm region, then of the Perm region. Since 2009, he worked in Moscow, in 2012-2017 he headed the Moscow Department of Economic Policy.
Became Governor of the Perm Territory in 2017, in 2020 — became head of the Ministry of Economic Development.
