MOSCOW, May 14. The United States lags behind potential adversaries, including Russia, in the field of electronic warfare, Defense One reported, citing American former special forces soldiers.
“The gap between the position the United States should be in and the position we are in, in my opinion, continues to widen <…> in too many areas,” the publication quotes retired Army officer Mike Nagatas.
According to other former special forces soldiers who previously worked in electronic warfare, Russia has gone “far ahead” in this area. Moscow is actively investing in it and experimenting, while the United States preferred to use electronic warfare to collect intelligence in the Middle East, the publication writes.
Business Insider previously reported that the Russian armed forces, with the help electronic warfare systems effectively interfere with American precision weapons used in Ukraine.
