Kia introduced the EV6 mid-size electric crossover in the spring of 2021. Let us remind you that this SUV played the role of the first-born of the South Korean brand on the E-GMP modular platform with 800-volt electrical architecture. Now it's time for a planned restyling. The brand published the first teasers of the refreshed Kia EV6 at the beginning of this month, and has now completely declassified the new product for the domestic market.

During the restyling, the crossover's appearance was corrected. Thus, the model was equipped with new head optics in the form of curved LED lines that act as daytime running lights. In this case, the main headlight blocks are located inside the elements. The lower part of the front bumper with a new air intake also received a different design.

The lower part of the rear bumper is now designed to match the air intake at the front. The freshened “green” SUV was equipped with new sets of black and silver wheels measuring 19 and 20 inches (the GT-line version has its own “roller” design). The SUV also updated the palette of body colors.
The interior of the Kia EV6 also received its share of new things. The list includes a different two-spoke steering wheel, and a fingerprint scanner has appeared, which allows drivers “familiar” with the crossover to start it without a key. One of the main innovations is a new curved panoramic display that combines a virtual instrument panel and a touchscreen infotainment system with wireless support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The newly refreshed SUV received a digital interior rear-view mirror, as well as an augmented reality navigation system, which is installed in modern models of the premium Genesis brand (an image from the front camera and overlaid graphics are used). New color options have become available for the interior trim of the updated Kia EV6.

The restyling also affected the Kia EV6 technology: the model received a new traction battery developed by Hyundai Motor Group, its capacity is 84 kWh (replacing a 77.4 kWh battery). The range on one charge for the rear-wheel drive model on 19-inch wheels is now 494 km (19 km more than the pre-reform version).
Otherwise, there are no changes in the standard versions: the rear-wheel drive electric crossover has an output of 228 hp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The all-wheel drive Kia EV6 is equipped with a 325-horsepower dual-motor power plant (605 Nm).
